Hello Gardeners!
Just a reminder of the Seed Talk tomorrow, Tuesday Jan 10th at 6:30 pm via Zoom.
Winter is a great time to grow houseplants! Everyone can benefit with a little bit of green growing in their home. The next Seed Talk on Tuesday, January 10th I’ll be talking about both flowering and foliage plants to grow inside. Yes, you can get plants to flower inside in the middle of winter! I’ll also cover some holiday plants such as Poinsettias and Christmas cactus.
January Seed Talk – Indoor Plants via Zoom
Tuesday January 10, 2023, 6:30 pm via Zoom
Do you feel like you have a ‘brown thumb’ when it comes to growing indoor plants? Or maybe you just want to grow something that blooms inside during our long winter. This Seed Talk is all about how to successfully grow both blooming and foliage house plants.
This is a Zoom meeting and you need to register on the Ramsey County library website at least 3 hours prior to the start of the Seed Talk. Register here.
Seed Talks are discussions with community members led by Horticulturist, lifelong gardener and one of the White Bear Lake Seed Library founders: Pam Larson Frink.
In-Person Seed Packaging!
Yep, the first in-person seed packaging event since 2020!
Saturday, January 14th from 1- 3:30 pm at the White Bear Lake Library in the Lion’s Den conference (first conference room past the main library desk).
I’ll have seeds and seed packaging supplies available for volunteers to help package seeds. I have lots of vegetable and flower seeds that need packaging. Don’t worry if you have never done it before. It’s easy and fun.
If you can’t make it and want to help package seeds, just send me an email and I’ll prepare a bag of seeds and seed packaging supplies you can pick up at the seed table at the WBL library. My email is: wblseedlibrary@gmail.com.
Please feel comfortable wearing a mask if you want. I will be. And please don’t attend if you are feeling ill. The weather forecast looks good, but if something changes and there’s poor driving conditions on Saturday, I will cancel the event.
