Seed Talk on Plant Propagating

Hello Gardeners!

March is an ambivalent month for me. On one hand I am happy to have more daylight and warmer temperatures and on the other hand I would really like a chance to cross-country ski a few more times. One thing I know is it is too early to work in my gardens!
I’m sure these warm days are having you think about spring planting! Soon you may start some seeds and have trays of little seedlings promising a fresh new growing season.
But there are more ways to start plants than just by seeds. In fact, many plants are easier to propagate NOT using seeds. Come to the next Seed Talk to find out how to propagate using other methods. See below for details.

As you are dreaming of lush and bountiful gardens think on this:

Chickadee parents need to collect between 6,000 and 9,000 caterpillars to feed one brood of baby chickadees.  In fact most baby birds need a diet of all insects to survive.
Is your yard a food provider or a food desert for birds?

More on this later.
